How we help our clients

CBTDenver offers in person and teletherapy
(online video or phone).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

At the core of our approach in working with clients is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is a goal-oriented, practical, and collaborative intervention that helps individuals observe, understand, and shift their behavior, mood, thoughts, and relationships.

Therapists select techniques that are individualized for each client and may include mindfulness, exposure, and experiential exercises.

You can also read about CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) here.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is another action-oriented approach to treatment that is rooted in traditional cognitive and behavioral principles.

Our clinicians help our clients identify what they value and what may be a barrier(s) to moving towards what is important to them. Clients examine avoidance and learn skills to accept discomfort in the pursuit of a meaningful life.
