CBT Denver: Committed to Providing Evidence-Based Therapy

Experienced Therapists

CBT Denver was founded in 2011 and for over a decade, our therapists have been dedicated to providing quality, evidence-based treatments. Our center focuses on compassionate, collaborative, and effective treatment approaches. Evidence-based treatments involve three components: treatment based on research, the client's values and preferences, and the clinical expertise of the therapist. When a therapist is providing evidence-based care, they are integrating these components to improve your concerns and help you reach your goals.

CBT At Our Core

A central aspect of our approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). CBT is a practical, goal-oriented, and evidence-based method of therapy. It teaches clients how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are related, and how changing unhelpful thoughts and/or behaviors can positively impact one’s mood and quality of life.

Improve Daily Functioning

CBT is based on the principle that psychological concerns are based, at least in part, on unhelpful thinking and/or behavior, and by learning tools to change thoughts and behaviors one can decrease mood symptoms and improve their daily functioning. For example, perhaps it would be helpful to increase your activity level and be more socially active, challenge self-critical thinking and practice talking to yourself in a self-compassionate manner, or learn skills to improve physical pain or sleep.

All Encompassing CBT Therapy

CBT is a therapeutic method that includes various interventions and therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Our therapists are expertly trained in these therapies and treat a wide range of conditions. Please visit the CBT Denver website for an overview of the conditions we treat and the treatment approaches provided.
